Hang Drum

I understand if this sounds like an insane idea to you but hear me out on this one.

Drum Lessons

Over 40 different drum lessons are included. It is possible to play in a tempo as slow as 60 and as fast as 200. The great thing is that the game drums correspond to particular drums in real life. There's one game drum for snare hits, there is one for hi-hat hits, there is one for toms, and there's one for crashes. This lets you get the "feel" of the music rather than worrying so much about what color is coming at you around the screen.

Beatle Beats

You can play them slowly to get the hang of these and then this post speed up until you are playing them at their original tempo.

Freestyle Mode

This lets you just play the drums on your own. It certainly functions as a pretty basic electronic drum set. No, there is no velocity, so it is not realistic - but it can let you practice on your own in a basic way.

"Expert Mode"

I recommend skipping the other methods when you are playing The Beatles songs and jump right into "Expert Mode" even if you are a beginner. Why? Because with the expert mode you're playing all of the real beats in the song and that's that which you should be learning. The easier ways leave out a few of the hits that I think makes it a more confusing. It makes it more of a video game and less practice for learning to become a real good drummer.

Playing Real Drums

I do believe that transition will be easier than ever before with The Beatles Rock Band since it's particularly well suited to teaching people how to play the drums.
